Dr. Rodney Phillips continues our “Your Calling. Our Mission.” chapel series with a message from Jeremiah 1. Through Jeremiah’s call to ministry, we are reminded that God’s sufficiency overcomes our inadequacy, enabling us to respond to His call without hesitation.

Through Isaiah’s response, we are reminded that when we are captivated by the greatness of God, we are called to respond with humility, obedience, and faithfulness, trusting Him even when the results of our service may not be immediately seen.

Through Samuel’s story, we learn the importance of faithful service, spiritual guidance, careful discernment, and courageously answering God’s call.

In this chapel message titled "Nehemiah: Called to Rebuild," Dr. Rodney Phillips explores Nehemiah 1 and how God can use a burden for “unfinished business” to develop a calling in our lives. Nehemiah cared enough to inquire, intercede, and ultimately get involved in what God was doing. What unfinished business might God be calling you to complete?

In this message, Dr. William Wallace explores 1 Samuel 16 and the calling of David, reminding us that God sees beyond outward appearances and prepares those He calls through faithful service. David’s journey from shepherd to future king shows that calling requires preparation, discipleship, and a servant’s heart. Through David’s example, we are challenged to trust God’s calling, faithfully prepare, and serve wherever He has placed us.

In this message, Dr. Chris Dickerson explores Joshua 1:1-9 and the call to step courageously into the mission God has given us. Through Joshua’s example, we learn that faithful leadership is grounded in confidence in God’s promises, conviction in God’s Word, and courage in God’s presence.

Chapel 4.28.26.

Additionally, believers are to depend on God for bold gospel proclamation, and to care for one another as co-laborers in a shared mission.
